Be the Hammer. Win the Hammer.
AWO-AAU Warrior Clash
Do you have what it takes to defeat all other warriors and win the coveted Warrior Hammer? Much like Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, only the most worthy of warriors can wield its mighty force. If you’re ready for the fiercest competition in the state, bring your inner warrior and compete for the Warrior Hammer.
This week, we will be awarding custom engraved Warrior Hammers to the Outstanding Wrestlers in each age division. The war hammer was created to deliver a full force blow to overtake an opponent wearing hardened steel armor.
***IMPORTANT TRAVEL ADVISORY***
The Alabaster Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday starting at 10am. Part of Hwy 31 will be closed. Interstate 65 to Exit 238 is probably a better way to travel but still anticipate traffic delays. Please plan accordingly so that you arrive on time to the tournament. Here is the published parade route per the Shelby County Reporter:
Alabaster’s annual Christmas parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, according to the Alabaster Parks and Recreation Department. This year’s parade will follow the same route as last year’s, and will begin at the Ernest McCarty Ford dealership on U.S. 31 before turning right onto Second Place Northwest, traveling down First Street Southwest and ending at the stop sign in front of Southbrook Village.
During the parade, which is organized and sponsored by Alabaster city personnel and the Alabaster Beautification Board, the two southbound lanes of U.S. 31 will be closed, and northbound and southbound traffic will be diverted onto the two northbound lanes.
